Briefing on the 'Competition Act 2010' - Issues & Challenges (Wednesday, 19th January 2011 at Eastin Hotel Petaling Jaya)

The Malaysian government has passed the 'Competition Act 2010' in May 2010 and gazettes it in June 2010.  The Act will be enforced as of 1st January 2012.  The Act provides a comprehensive competition law at the national level which cuts across all economic sectors and applies to all commercial activities undertaken within Malaysia and those outside Malaysia which have effects on competition in the Malaysian market.

PhAMA has invited the Interim Competition Commission to give a briefing to our members on the Act, which was eventually held as follows:
